Our availability

When you make an appointment with a Mummyotherapy therapist, we will do our best to accommodate the date and time that you have requested.  Usually, our booking system indicates the correct availability for therapists.  From time to time, there may be circumstances out of our control that results in a therapist being shown as available, when they are not.

For example, if you have booked months ahead, and a therapist needs to take some time off when your appointment is booked, we may need to reschedule with you.  Similarly, if a therapist becomes ill and cannot work during your appointment, we may again need to reschedule with you.

When an therapist becomes unavailable for an appointment you have made, we will contact you to modify the arrangements.  If the appointment is some time off, we will probably contact you via email.  If the appointment is fairly soon though, we may choose to call you using the telephone number you have provided to arrange modifications to your appointment.

When this situation occurs, we will typically discuss options with you to reschedule the date and time of the appointment, use a different therapist or if the best option for you, cancel the appointment.

Payments

Payment for an appointment is required to be made immediately following the completion of the appointment.  We only accept electronic payments using credit card or eftpos.  We do not accept cash or cheques.

In order to claim your eligible health fund rebate on the day, you will need to provide your health fund card for us to use with our Hicaps machine.  If the fund pays a rebate on the appointment, then you will only be charged the gap between the rebate and the total cost of the appointment fee.

Unfortunately, if you do not have your health fund card available, or the health fund is unable toprovide the rebate at the time of payment, you will be required to pay the full cost of the appointment and then seek the rebate from your health fund.  Due to regulatory requirements, we are unable to process this claim for you at any time other than immediately following the appointment.

Payments made to Mummyotherapy may appear on your statements as "Health Services at Home".

All appointment costs are inclusive of GST.

Cancellation of appointment by you

We realise that from time to time, you may need to cancel an appointment due to unexpected things in your life.  We think that we have a very generous policy that allows you to cancel up to 24 hours before hand.  You can even reschedule your appointment up till then.

If you need to cancel the appointment after then, you will need to contact us using our Contact us page providing your name, the time of your appointment and that you need to cancel.

We only have a set amount of appointments each day when they are cancelled at short notice, it is difficult for us to fill them again.  As such, we reserve the right to charge a cancellation fee for appointments that are cancelled with less than 24 hours notice.  If charged, this fee will be the full cost of the appointment and will be invoiced to you to pay online.

We understand as a new mum life can be a little hectic and we will try to be as understanding as possible.  If we do choose to charge you a cancellation fee though, please be mindful that we are running a business and have overheads to cover.

Cancellation by us

There may be occasions where there will unavoidable circumstances that will mean we need to cancel an appointment with you.  For example, a therapist becomes unwell or their vehicle suffers mechanical issues.

If a scenario occurs that requires us to cancel, we undertake to contact you as soon as possible to let you know.  We will discuss alternative options with you including a different date and time, different therapist or full cancellation of the appointment at no cost to you.

Liability

Neither Mummyotherapy, nor therapists contracted by Mummyotherapy will be held responsible for any loss attributable to any inability to deliver a service.  Should an appointment be cancelled or rescheduled to a time that in your opinion will prolong or aggravate your injury, it is your responsibility to source alternative treatment from other providers.

Our safety

Our therapists are visiting your home.  Your home is our workplace.  It is important that you provide a safe working location for our therapists to conduct the appointment.

Please ensure that the location is free from hazards and you have provided an area that is at least 3 metres by 2 metres in area.

Our therapists will be carrying equipment from their vehicle to your house.  We would appreciate it if you could remove all tripping hazards and secure pets who might interfere with this loading process.

Delays to completing the appointment

We understand that as a mum, things don't always go to plan.  Although you have scheduled an appointment for a particular time, your child may have other plans.  We realise that your child is your priority and if you need to attend to them during the appointment, we will accommodate this.

Although we can at times accommodate additional time during the appointment should this delay its completion, this will be dependant on the schedule for the day.  If a therapist feels they can accommodate some additional time without adversely affecting the schedule for the rest of the day, they may choose to extend the appointment times at no additional charge.

If the therapist's schedule does not accommodate any extension to the appointment, they will need to complete the appointment at the scheduled time.  Regardless of interruption or delay in starting the appointment due to circumstances outside the control of the therapist, the full cost of the appointment will be payable.

Engagement

Health Services at Home Pty Ltd, trading as Mummyotherapy provides a service for booking therapists.  As a client, your actual engagement is with the individual therapist, not Mummyotherapy.

Therapists act as individual private contractors.  Mummyotherapy charges therapists a fee for each appointment made on their behalf, but the actual engagement and service provided to you as a client, is provided by the therapist; not by Mummyotherapy.

Any dispute regarding the quality of service provided by a therapist, should be taken up with that individual therapist.

Mummyotherapy is in no way liable for any claims arising from alleged negligence or ineptitude of a therapist.
